Sports 2010

There will be a "Back to Athletics Night" on August 19th starting at 7:00 pm. This will be for all parents and athletics wishing to participate in sports this year. At the program there will be a presentation on sportsmanship and an opportunity to view the "It Could Happen to You Video". Parents will also have the opportunity to fill out paperwork and pay fees prior to the start of practices.

All athletes need to have a physical sheet, risk form, and sportsmanship form into the office prior to the start of practice. Physical forms can be picked up at your physician's office, at the school office, or can be printed from our website.

Sports physicals are now required EVERY YEAR. All middle school and senior high athletes will need a sports physical, after June 15, 2010, but prior to their sports season, according to the ND High School Activities Association.

Previously, student athletes participating in NDHSAA sanctioned sports were required to have a physical examination every 2 years. The purpose of changing from every 2 years to every year is to protect athletes from any undiscovered health concerns.

Risk forms should be completed after viewing the "It Could Happen to You Video" and the sportsmanship form needs to be completed after hearing the sportsmanship orientation. All forms are also available on Wachter's Athletics webpage.

Start dates and times vary for each sport so please check your specific sport website for information.
