Lock In Registration Week is December 14-18, 2009

Date: Friday, February 12, 2010

Time: 7:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Where: Wachter Middle School (Arrive at Main Doors for registration)

Cost: $20.00 per student (non-refundable, non-transferable, make checks payable to WMS)

Reason: Proceeds will be used to enhance our SOS fund. The SOS fund is a fund designed to help financially disadvantaged students with the purchase of materials needed for school and other extra-curricular activities.

Deadline: Registration deadline is Friday, December 18 at 3:30 p.m. (A minimum of 200 students are necessary. Registration limited to first 300 students.)

This is the third lock-in for Wachter Middle School and is for WMS students only. Students must arrive no later than 7:30 p.m. and will be allowed to leave at 7:30 a.m. If students need to arrive later or leave earlier than these times due to other commitments please notify either Kim Brecht or Ben Lervick.

The price for the lock-in includes one food item, one beverage item, and one bag of popcorn as well as a juice and an item for breakfast. Other items will be available for purchase. The concessions stand will be open from 7:30 p.m.- 3 a.m. and again for breakfast from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. Absolutely no outside food or beverages will be allowed. Students should turn in their registration form and money to Mr. Lervick in Room 124. No late applications will be accepted.

Various activities will take place from 7:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. From 3am-7:30 a.m. boys and girls will have separate designated sleeping areas. During this time, students will have the choice to watch movies, sleep, or do other quiet activities (card/board games). For this reason, students should bring a blanket/sleeping bag and a pillow (marked with student's name). These items will be checked upon arrival to the lock-in. At 6:30 a.m. we will announce tournament winners and have prize drawings. Dismissal is at 7:30 a.m.

Rules and Expectations

•No Outside Food/Beverages
•Once you arrive you may not leave unless picked up by a parent/guardian
•Dress Code and Behavior Code will follow school policy
•Wrist Bands must be worn at all times
•Parents will be notified by phone if their child is not in attendance by 9:00 p.m
•Parents will be expected to pick up their child if the student is not behaving appropriately
•Any medication to be given during the hours of the lock-in must be checked in with proper forms completed by parent. (Contact Kim Brecht or Ben Lervick with questions)

Tentative Activities: DJ Music, Movies, Dancing Bingo, Catch Phrase, Trivia, Pictionary, DVD Games (Scene It, etc.) Dodgeball, Volleyball, Basketball Inflatable Games Tournaments (Foosball, Air Hockey, and Ping Pong)
